Can the ChargeIT! Mini be powered directly from a vehicle battery?
A: Yes. Most ChargeIT! Mini modules support a wide 9V–24V (or 24V–48V) DC input via a 2-pin terminal block, making them ideal for 12V automotive, vehicle, robot or 24V industrial power systems without needing an AC inverter.
What is EPR (Extended Power Range) and do I need it?
A: EPR is the latest USB-C PD 3.1 standard allowing for up to 140W (28V) or 280W on a single port. If you are powering high-performance laptops or medical equipment, choose an EPR-enabled ChargeIT! Mini to ensure full charging speeds.
Why use a 2-pin Terminal Block (Phoenix Connector) instead of a barrel jack?
A: Terminal blocks provide a vibration-proof, secure connection required in mobile or industrial environments. This allows for custom wire lengths and prevents accidental disconnects in many applications.
Are these chargers compatible with standard USB-C cables?
A: Yes. While they feature a screw-lock mechanism for high-vibration security, the ports are fully compatible with any standard USB-C cable. For maximum security, we recommend Coolgear’s Single Screw-Lock Type-C cables.
