The IEEE 1394B FireWire 800 mini PCI Express card promises development of innovative high-performance devices and applications.
It doubles the throughput of the original 1394A technology and dramatically increases the maximum distance of FireWire connections. Future support for many new types of cabling.
Mini PCIe IEEE 1394B Kit Features
- Supports MIni PCIe form factor
- PCI Express base specifications 1.0a compliant, 2.5 Gbps (250Mbytes/sec) transfer rate
- Fully IEEE1394 OHCI compliance
- Two 9-pin (1394B) and one 6-pin (1394a legacy) external connectors with the adapter board
- Up to 800Mbits/sec IEEE 1394B FireWire 800 transfer rate
- Supports bus 12V power with the power cable
- Supports Win XP SP2, 200, 2003, 2008, VISTA, and Win 7 – Mac OS 10.X
Note: Only supports 1394a made by the bundled drivers in the OS.
