Imagine purchasing your Nest Cam only to find the 25ft. USB-C cable isn’t long enough for you’re application! To solve this we’ve developed a Power Extender Kit that uses two simple components. Together they form a simple powerful solution allowing you to move your Nest Cam up to 100m (328ft.) further out.

The kit supports 5-15V power requirements of the Nest Cam.
Extends the power from 1 up to 100 meters away.
Cost effective solution to extend the working length of the Nest Cam.
Supports variable voltage input ranges from 20 to 28V DC to accommodate other Nest Cam devices.
Compatible with Nest Cam IQ Generation 1 only.

USB-C Power Extender Kit for Nest Cam IQ / Outdoor Gen 1

The CG-PWRPNESTKIT is a Nest Cam USB Power Extender with power over Ethernet (PoE) kit enabling a longer data and power connection. The Nest Cam Gen 1 includes a stock 25ft. USB Type-C cable that connects to a USB C power source. Coolgear’s Nest Cam USB C extender kit provides a solid solution to extend power and data Nest Cam distance.

How the Nest Cam IQ Power Extender Works

The USB-C Power Pod in combination with a power source can add an additional 100 meters. to your connection. A Cat6 cable with RJ45 male ends plugs into the RJ45 female power source and the Power Pod. The Nest Cam’s included USB-C cable plugs into to the Power Pod.

This PoE Nest Cam Extender Kit works with both Nest Cam IQ Outdoor and Indoor.

Works like a charm! a must if you want to extend the Nest IQ cable
I spent some money first trying with longer USB-C cables but it does not work as the minimum voltage drops with a longer than 25ft cable. This is the reason a POE makes the trick however, this device is specifically tailored for the Nest IQ camera so the voltage is the one needed by this camera. I have used it for several months with no issues at all.If you need to extend the power cord of your Nest IQ camera, this is the way to go.
