I have a small studio in my home and have some grounding issues with my high gain amps I seem to get a microphonic issue using my guitar effects pedal board. I tried and replaced everything I could to fix, and nothing helps. So, with that I removed the pedal board and started using my fractal fm9 mkII turbo and that solved the microphonic issue but created another issue. When the fm9 is hooked up by usb to my computer I get a ground loop noise. So, I ordered one of these usb filters and it failed to work so I sent it back. 3 weeks later I ordered this one and it worked no more noise. I see some say it is junk, but I can say it is not, it worked for me. My setup I use an ampete amp/cab/effects loop switching system that allows me to switch amps and cabs at the push of a button and the effects loop on all the amps share the fm9 when selected.
